RADIOACTIVITY OF CONTAINER ASSEMBLY WITH REFERENCE SPECIMENS
Abstract
A method for assessing the radioactivity of a container assembly with reference specimens for the VVER1000 reactor is given using the Rostov NPP as an example. The assessment is based on measuring the ambient
dose equivalent rate of gamma radiation at a distance of 1 m from the container assembly and calculating the
accumulated activity of the main radionuclides depending on the type of steel from which the witness samples are
made.
