ECOLOGICAL APPROACH TO DESIGNENGINEERING SUSTAINABLE URBAN ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
The article examines the concept of 'green building' using the example of famous European 'eco-areas' to
identify the principles of architectural and landscape design of a sustainable urban environment with minimal
energy consumption and rational use of public space, as well as natural resources. A review of existing
international eco-approaches to the design of modern residential complexes and courtyard areas was conducted.
